Michail Jurowski in Memoriam
The outstanding conductor Michail Jurowski (1945-2022) passed away. Over the past ten years, Michail Jurowski performed many times with the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra in Russia and abroad, including in educational concert series "Stories with the Orchestra" in the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. The sorcery of his talent made the long-familiar works by W.A. Mozart and G. Mahler, F. Mendelssohn and S. Prokofiev, P. Tchaikovsky and D. Shostakovich sound in a new way and opened up rarely read musical pages. He was a true friend of the Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra. We express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the wonderful musician. Blessed memory.
