Vladimir Jurowski: "... Tchaikovsky went all his life to the Symphony No. 6. The fact that in the Symphony No. 6 he finally renounced the classical finale as well as the fact that he renounced some other genre features and the content set by the classical school, shows that he actually found the path to himself. The path to oneself (this way) can be very long and painful".
