Winners of 2017 BBC Music Magazine Awards announced

On 19 April the laureates of 2017 BBC Music Magazine awards were announced in London.

One of the special prizes was awarded to the recording of Julian Anderson's music, performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Vladimir Jurowski. The album includes the first recordings of two Anderson's compositions ever made - "In lieblicher Bläue" and "Alleluia".

Vasily Petrenko and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra won the Recording of the Year for their performance of Tchaikovsky's Symphonies Nos 1, 2 and 5.
