In memory of Evgeny Svetlanov

On 15 September 2015, at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory the State Orchestra will play a concert of works by Rachmaninov, Bartók and Vladimir Tarnopolski. According to long-standing tradition, the orchestra’s season-opening performance is dedicated to the memory of the legendary musician Evgeny Svetlanov (1928-2002), who headed the ensemble for 35 years (1965-2000)
